Advocacy and Action to Defend Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Across States

We support and amplify efforts already underway in states actively promoting DEI to expand opportunity to all. We partner with champions of the American Dream for all across the country, providing them with the tools and resources that prepare them to successfully engage in a long-term fight.

We are committed to a years-long approach focused on protecting the progress created by DEI policies in states. We do this by building power across diverse multi-state coalitions of everyday DEI defenders and providing model legislation to move forward at the state level. In DEI-friendly states, we work with lawmakers to cement and extend DEI practices. In other states, we help push back against anti-DEI legislation through policy development, storytelling and community organizing.

In consultation with experts, civil rights leaders, legislators and constituents, Deliver the American Dream has developed model legislation to protect and codify diversity, equity and inclusion in state policy. These model bills cover a range of sectors impacted by DEI and are accompanied by guidance notes to help support legislators in introducing the most strategic and impactful legislation.
